Global No Pants Ride PDX 2013
These pantsless transit riders took part in the global “No Pants Subway Ride.” It’s an event staged by an improv group in New York City each January and mimicked in other cities, including Portland and Seattle. As the group “Improv Everywhere” explains, “The idea behind No Pants is simple: Random passengers board a subway car at separate stops in the middle of winter without pants. The participants do not behave as if they know each other, and they all wear winter coats, hats, scarves, and gloves. The only unusual thing is their lack of pants.” (Photo by Kai Hayashi/KATU News)
