The President’s news conferences are markedly more numerous now that he has been told that the economy is so bad he might not get re-elected. He wants to set up the meme that this economic depression is all the Republicans’ fault. I’m sorry, but will that dog even hunt? The Democrats took over the house in 2006 and have been spending a blue streak ever since! The Obama administration has spent more in two and half years than spent between President Washington through GW Bush!
When we needed jobs and a shoring up of the economy, he set up an entirely new welfare/health plan (disemboweling Medicare by half a TRILLION DOLLARS) and torpedoed it through against our wishes. Now he says he wants cooperation? Now he says the Republicans are hurting Medicare? Is he HIGH? Wait, don’t answer that.
He stormed out of a meeting with GOP leaders earlier this week when they wouldn’t capitulate on higher taxes to pay for his 35% increase in government spending over the last two and a half years.
Then in a previous news conference he said this whopper:
“I think, depending on how you phrase the question, if you said to the American people, ‘Is it a good idea for the United States not to pay its bills and potentially create another recession, they could throw millions of more people out of work,’ I feel pretty confident I can get a majority on my side on that one. And that’s the fact!”
Then he threatened MaMaw’s social security check in an interview on CBS.
He’s desperate.
Hold firm Republicans. No new taxes. As the Tea Party has told these Democrats (and you too, for that matter): NO NEW SPENDING! WE’RE TAXED ENOUGH ALREADY!
We told you to stop spending more than two years ago. We told you what would happen. Now that it has, don’t look to us for more money for your European welfare state! Cut, cut, cut!
