Here.
I won’t be reprinting all of them, of course, but I think you need to see this one item. This could be game, set and match–until 2014, at least.

  • In a twist, the first lawyer set to stand up before the court Monday morning wasn’t Donald Verrilli or Paul Clement, the powerhouse advocates leading each side. Instead it’s Robert Long, a Covington & Burling partner who is arguing that the case isn’t ripe for adjudication. Long was hired by the Supreme Court to make that argument because both of the litigants—in a rare point of agreement—say the case is ready to be decided.

Here’s another key live blog entry from the WSJ: 7:15 am Add a Comment With the arguments getting under way now, it seems a good time to give a rundown of the schedule this week: Monday: 90 minutes of argument on whether to shelve the entire case because of a federal law requiring taxpayers to pay their assessments before they can challenge a levy’s legality. Tuesday: Two hours of argument on whether the law’s requirement that most Americans carry health insurance or pay a penalty, also known as the “individual mandate,” violates the Constitution. This is seen as the key day. Wednesday: 90 minutes of argument on how much of the overhaul law should remain in effect if the court strikes down the individual mandate. Then, an hour of argument on whether the law’s expansion of the federal-state Medicaid program unlawfully requires states to grow the program.

Best news ever:

  • This week, the Supreme Court is breaking with usual practice and plans to provide same-day audio of the arguments, as well as an unofficial transcript, “as soon as the digital files are available for uploading to the Website.” The court says that should be no later than 2 p.m. for Monday’s arguments. The court’s audio file page is here.
