The Zero’s got it here. It’s the 300 plus page report about Bernie Giusto knowing about Neil Goldschmidt’s rape of a girl in the 1970’s. Here’s the link to the report.
The Zero’s first ‘graf states:
Contradicting his public statements, Multnomah County Sheriff Bernie Giusto has acknowledged for the first time that he did indeed share information about sex abuse by former Gov. Neil Goldschmidt in 1989 with Goldschmidt’s speechwriter, according a state investigative report released today.
Giusto said he shared “in generalities” information about Goldschmidt’s abuse of a young girl while Goldschmidt was mayor of Portland in the 1970s.The state report said Giusto conceded he told Fred Leonhardt, who has previously maintained he learned explicit details about the case from Giusto.
So, if Leonhardt is telling the truth, that means his allegation that Ted Knew is reliable. When will the governor resign?
It will be resume-enhancement for Ted. He will be able to say he was allowing Neil to heal, and he was not the person to judge his behavior.
The only way Ted will take any heat for this is if he becomes a Republican.

If somebody in addition to Leonhardt comes out of the woodwork and says that Ted know, then Ted could indeed pay the price. Especially if it’s after Ted goes on the record with the state bar denying that he knew.
Who knew in 1976 – 1979 when it was happening and helped keep it secret? That’s what I want to know.
