Gosnell Case: Feet of Murdered Babies

On April 3, I challenged Oregon Republican legislators to stand up to Democrats and the Oregon abortion industry and not be bullied by the threat of facing a floor vote on HCR 6, which celebrates Oregon as the state with the fewest restrictions on the barbaric practice known as abortion. In these last ten days, something has happened that should bolster the collective spines of the GOP in Salem. Thanks to relentless reporting by conservative, non-mainstream media, the murder trial of abortionist Kermit Gosnell in Philadelphia has finally given America and the rest of the world a gruesome, firsthand look inside an abortion slaughterhouse.

Meanwhile, in Salem, some GOP leaders are quietly hoping Democrat leadership does not bring HCR 6 to the floor, forcing a debate and uncomfortable vote on a keystone plank of the Democratic Party’s platform. To the contrary, there has never been a better time to open the doors to the abortion mills for everyone to see what occurs during this “medical procedure.” Democrats continue their party line that abortions must be kept “legal and safe.” Safe for whom? Babies who are effectively if not literally decapitated while screaming? And what is the response by Oregon’s NARAL and Planned Parenthood chapters to abortion’s dirtiest secrets being revealed? Well, they’re having a fundraiser and abortion comedy show.

The Silence of the Left

hannibal-lecterDr. Lechter, you have met your match in Dr. Kermit Gosnell. From what is slowly emerging from Gosnell’s murder trial, the truth about late term abortion practices has shocked and sickened all but the most committed abortion supporters, while news editors sitting atop the main stream media outlets have made the conscious decision to suppress this story. But thanks to alternative media, such as blogs, Twitter and Facebook, the Gosnell murder trial is finally gaining momentum. It is not quite up to Jodi Arias status, and has a long way to go before it rivals a Kardashian pregnancy (how ironic is that). Despite the best efforts of the Leftist media moguls who support abortion rights, the Gosnell trial may finally become the Left’s worse nightmare – a Sandy Hook event that focuses the nation’s attention on what happens inside an abortion clinic.

Here in Oregon, the Gosnell trial is treated as a local issue for Philadelphians to deal with. Even at Blue Oregon, where likeminded Lefties gather ‘round the blue Kool-Aid dispenser, nary a word from the usual contributors. Which begs the inevitable question: Who’s #irrelevant now?

With apologies to Jodi Foster and Sir Anthony Hopkins, consider the following exchange, replacing “lambs” with “babies” and the barn with Kermit Gosnell’s abortion clinic.

Dr. Lecter: Then something woke you, didn’t it? Was it a dream? What was it?

Clarice: I heard a strange noise.

Dr. Lecter: What was it?

Clarice: It was … screaming. Some kind of screaming, like a child’s voice.

Dr. Lecter: What did you do?

Clarice: I went downstairs, outside. I crept up into the barn. I was so scared to look inside, but I had to.

Dr. Lecter: And what did you see, Clarice? What did you see?

Clarice: Lambs. And they were screaming.

Dr. Lecter: They were slaughtering the lambs?

Clarice: And they were screaming.

Dr. Lecter: And you ran away?

Clarice: No. First I tried to free them. I … I opened the gate to their pen, but they wouldn’t run. They just stood there, confused. They wouldn’t run.

Dr. Lecter: But you could and you did, didn’t you?

Clarice: Yes. I took one lamb, and I ran away as fast as I could.

Dr. Lecter: Where were you going, Clarice?

Clarice: I don’t know. I didn’t have any food, any water, and it was very cold, very cold. I thought, I thought if I could save just one, but … he was so heavy. So heavy. I didn’t get more than a few miles when the sheriff’s car picked me up. The rancher was so angry he sent me to live at the Lutheran orphanage in Bozeman. I never saw the ranch again.

Dr. Lecter: What became of your lamb, Clarice?

Clarice: They killed him.

Dr. Lecter: You still wake up sometimes, don’t you? You wake up in the dark and hear the screaming of the lambs.

Clarice: Yes.

NARAL’s “Liberty Auction”

One might think by now that NARAL Pro-Choice Oregon would have tried to distance itself from Gosnell’s trial. But one can search in vain on the NARAL national or Oregon websites for any mention of the most significant abortion murder trial in US history. It’s as if the trial was not occurring, which is what the abortion industry desperately wishes were true.

So, NARAL Oregon is moving full steam ahead into its annual “Liberty Auction” on Saturday, April 20, at the Downtown Portland Hilton. It promises to be a gala affair, with the silent auction beginning at 5:30 pm, when “Guests will have an hour and a half to mingle with the NARAL and OFRH team, local government officials, and friends of the Choice community in Portland. Wine will be served while auction items are displayed for your viewing and bidding pleasure.” It’s not clear what items are being auctioned, but since Dr. Gosnell’s embryotomy scissors are still a murder trial exhibit, those will likely have to wait until next year before fetching a hefty price among “the Choice community.”

The NARAL “Liberty Auction” costs $75.00 for an individual to attend, a small price to pay for a daring citizen journalist to obtain audio and video of what promises to be a lavish celebration of a practice that claims 10,000 Oregon unborn children each year. But in case you’re not into formal dinners and silent auctions, then Planned Parenthood has just the gig for you.

Abortion Comedy Comes to Portland

repro-rights-pop-culture-webPlanned Parenthood Columbia Willamette, which operates 11 “clinics” in Oregon, together with something called “Bitch Media” is sponsoring a show entitled, “Reproductive Rights (and Wrongs) in Pop Culture.” PPCW and Bitch Media describe the event as “a comedic and informative session” complete with drinks, followed by a discussion of sexual politics in pop culture, a raffle and yes, another silent auction.

The “reproductive rights” comedy show starts at 7:00 pm, on Tuesday, April 30, at the Clinton Street Theater as part of PPCW’s weekly “Sexy Tuesdays” series. And it only costs $10.00, much more affordable for local citizen journalists to afford.

We likely will never know the names of Dr. Kermit Gosnell’s helpless victims butchered in his abortion clinic ironically named, “Women’s Medical Society.” In court documents, those children are simply known as “Baby Boy A,” “Baby Boy B,” “Baby C” and so on. But while Portland’s “Choice community” enjoys their silent auctions, comedy shows and formal dinners celebrating and funding the abortion industry, many Oregonians with a conscious will wake up in the dark and hear the screaming of the lambs.
