American capitalism gone with a whimper

Share with: Everybody. Sharing is caring, ya know.

“It must be said, that like the breaking of a great dam, the American decent into Marxism is happening with breath taking speed, against the back drop of a passive, hapless sheeple, excuse me dear reader, I meant people.”

“The final collapse has come with the election of Barack Obama. His speed in the past three months has been truly impressive. His spending and money printing has been a record setting, not just in America’s short history but in the world. If this keeps up for more then another year, and there is no sign that it will not, America at best will resemble the Wiemar Republic and at worst Zimbabwe.”

  1. Oh brother, The smallest fiddle is playing somewhere. More like the corporate raiders, wallstreet pirates along with their Fredo Santelli enablers are being ripped to shreds. That is good news for everyone.

But by all means, if your brand of untethered capitalism fades out with a whimper, the quicker the better. Maybe you can go start your capitalist utopia somewhere else.

  2. How quaint, mini-abel, considering this is from a source we would suspect you would readily embrace.

Pravda was a leading newspaper of the Soviet Union and an official organ of the Central Committee of the Communist Party between 1912 and 1991.

  3. Abel,

    “untethered capitalism”

    Where have you been?

The Federal Reserve, the Treasury, The Community Reinvestment Act, Sarbanes Oxley, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Federal Housing Administration, The Securities and Exchange Commission, Food and Drug Administration, Department of Energy, Department of Consumer Affairs, The Justice Department (when they bother to try to enforce justice), not to mention a myriad of other Federal, State and Municipal regulations and agencies… nauseum.

It is truly amazing that anyone could produce a fiddle let alone play it without interference of the DEQ or some other obstructive constraint!

  4. Maybe you can go start your capitalist utopia somewhere else.A better idea, I think. Why don’t you all go start your communist hell somewhere else and leave out “capitalist utopia” alone?

That’s right, communism doesn’t work at all without the enslavement of an entire population.

Why don’t ya’ll stop hiding behind your catch words of liberal, progressive, reformer, freethiker or whatever else you hide behind, and just let people know what you really are, hard core communists?

  5. Hey Abel…

Why don’t you “quite whinning”? Do you think you have a “corner market” on “whinning”. Will you and the rest of your family be “collecting” in Portland today? Oh, you “we’ll”, will you…

For the rest of you, please excuse my inside jokes concerning Abel’s atrocious grammar and sentence structure.

  6. Capitalism will not die. It can’t. The principles of capitalism simply describe the way markets work. The government cannot change the laws of economics, even if it tries.

What the government can do, and the Obama administration appears intent on doing, is to make criminals of honest businessmen and women. If successful, many will simply take their place in line for their government allotment (which will eventually resolve to bread and water, if that) and the rest will simply exit the phony economy set up by the government and commence their heroic resistance work in the black market economy.

The very clever and cautious will succeed in creating wealth, providing necessary goods and services to the people and, perhaps, provide the impetus for the rebirth of a lawful, non-totalitarian government. The rest will wind up in the gulag.

  7. “…along with their Fredo Santelli enablers…”

What’s with the Italian slur? You communist. Yeah, you’re really brave, hiding behind your closed profile.

You said you would be at the Blumenaur event “with bells on”, and that I should “say hi”.

Why don’t you tell us your real name, gender, etc. Post your picture, you coward. You keep telling us to say hi, and that you’ll “point us out” at these events. Who do you think you’re intimidating with this crap?

“Maybe you can go start your capitalist utopia somewhere else.”

You smug little liar. Maybe YOU can go back to wherever the hell you came from. Post your information, you America hating coward.

  8. Hey, Tyler: Why don’t you quit beating around the bush and tell us what you really think of UnAbel?

Seriously, I thought I, and of course, Lew, was the only one who thinks that way about UnAbel, and his alteregos, buddies, fellow travelers, whatever, MiniMe, iago, David Appell, Wacko, etc.

  9. That was the tame or “nicey nice” version. The one from 5:04 (which I removed), not so much.

There’s always some smug little story from Johnson. He/she just happened to donate to Acorn last month. Just happened to read the next book Chavez is giving Obama (“in college”, of course)…

He/she will be at every event supporting health care for illegals. He/she intercepted Victoria’s carbon tax red alert and sent those 127 emails.

Always some smug little story and convenient tie-in with every subject. Designed to agitate. We’re supposed to sit there and say “Damn it! Foiled again. Wow, man, that really blew up in our faces”.

Wonder how many conservative blogs he/she/it is working with these crap stories. No I don’t…

  10. Don’t forget, one of the alter-egoes is a Radiologist on leave to further help poor downtrodden people to get adequate healthcare.

But, no mention of which hospital or any other pertinent criteria.

Otherwise, I find it interesting to see that the main mouthpiece of the former communist Soviet Union sees what is happening to America, while our own citizens do not.

Kruschev supposedly said he would bury us back in the 1950’s. We laughed then.

  11. Lew,

“Kruschev supposedly said he would bury us back in the 1950’s. We laughed then.”

We laughed, but Khrushchev was wrong. He and the Soviet Union or even its successor the Russian Federation will never bury us. But the big O may well do so!

  12. Lew,

“I don’t see much difference, Pete. The ideology is too similar.”

As is becoming all to apparent.

However, as we both suspected during the campaign last year, Obama is destroying from within. And where are the check and balances that supposedly constrain each branch of government from circumventing the others?

  13. Pete, You just hit a great point when you wrote, “Obama is destroying from within.”

Abraham Lincoln wrote, “America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter, and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves.”

53% of the American electorate started us down that path last November when they voted in this incompetent, Marxist cum socialist ward heeler from the Daley Machine to be president. And the Komrade is keeping us on that path with all the socialistic garbage he is perpetrating on the country daily. Nationalizing Chrysler and Government Motors, starting to nationalize the health care and banking industries, closing car dealerships that apparently did not support the party line with all their hearts and souls, etc., etc. are just the beginnings of the country’s downhill slide. It is only a matter of time until he all but decimated the military to the point that it will look like a small town police force. It only a matter of time until he releases the detainees, whatever, from Gitmo into the towns and cities of the U.S. One has to wonder how many of that 53% are regretting their vote after these last 4 months.

Old Abe was right. But he surely had no idea at all that this country’s demise would be coming at the hands of one of those that he freed with the Emancipation Proclamation. This is the thanks he gets.

  14. Scottie said,

“Old Abe was right. But he surely had no idea at all that this country’s demise would be coming at the hands of one of those that he freed with the Emancipation Proclamation. This is the thanks he gets.”

It is a cruel irony that one who professes reverence for fundamental personal freedoms may ultimately enslave an entire nation by undermining the very laws that promote creativity, entrepreneurship and economic and personal freedoms.

It’s also a stunning irony that the Pravda and European newspapers, rather than our own (who are responsible to insure Americans’ freedoma by monitoring government abuses), are the harbinger of our pending loss.

  15. “Hey, Witchy-poo, It’s good to see you back. I for one have missed you.”

Well, thank you my brother. 🙂 Sometimes you guys say it better. Being a Republican woman I don’t mind letting the men do the fighting. Chivalry, these girls just don’t know.
