Victoria,

Allen Alley has sent some of the delegation an unauthorized letter informing them they were not elected delegates. Allen Alley does not have the authority to make this declaration of who is/is not on the delegation.
Kind regards,
Kevin Renfrow

Hello Victoria,

Thank you for your inquiry.
1) “When did this group form?”
This group formed pursuant to ORP rules, bylaws, and RNC rules following the election of delegates and alternate delegates at the five Oregon Republican Congressional District Conventions on June 23, 2012. We are simply the duly elected delegates and alternate delegates who will represent Oregon at the Republican National Convention.
2) “Why did this group form?”
Pursuant to ORP rules, bylaws, and RNC rules, the state of Oregon can send a Republican delegation to the Republican National Convention. The primary purpose of that delegation is to elect the Republican candidates for the office of President and Vice President.
3) “How many members are there?”
Oregon has a 53 member delegation to the Republican National Convention consisting of 25 delegates elected at the Congressional District Conventions, 25 alternate delegates elected at the Congressional District Conventions, and 3 delegates elected by their office (ORP Chairman, National Committeeman, and National Comitteewoman).
4) “Are you still a delegate?”
Yes. I am personally a duly elected alternate delegate and all duly elected delegates and alternate delegates are still members of the Oregon delegation.
5) “Will you be seated as a delegate at the RNC convention?”
Yes. All duly elected members of the Oregon delegation will be seated at the RNC. I have not received any paperwork notifying the delegation of an official credentialing challenge with the RNC.
Please let me know if I have adequately answered your question or if you have any further questions.
Kind regards,
Kevin Renfrow

Re: Press Inquiry

Hello Victoria,

Thank you for your inquiry.
We are the delegates elected to represent Oregon at the Republican National Convention (RNC) held in Tampa August 27-30, 2012. Delegates were elected at the Oregon Republican Congressional District Conventions on Saturday June 23 by Precinct Committee Persons from across the state. The primary purpose of the delegates to the RNC is to nominate and vote for the Republican candidates for the office of president and vice-president. Other business such as party platform will also be decided and http://www.gopconvention2012.com/  is a great resource for further information about the RNC.
Please let me know if I have adequately answered your question or if you have any further questions.
Kind regards,
Kevin Renfrow
