Celebu-Spy Valerie Plame Blames Possible Syria Bombing on “Neo-Cons”

Ex-CIA analyst turned celebu-spy, Valerie Plame seems to claim in the featured Tweet below that the Obama Administration’s proposed bombing of Syria is the work of “Neo-Cons.”

You remember “Neo-Cons”. The term, intended to be a pejorative one, refers to (mostly Jewish)

Americans concerned with national security? I thought it had died with the Bush Administration, but I was wrong. 

Ms. Plame, who sent her husband to Niger to chase down (and debunk) claims of yellow cake uranium reportedly going to Iraq, became a household name when some horrible, eeeevilllll “Bushie” outed her as a “spy”.

Plame was a CIA desk jockey stateside and, as Andrea Mitchell of NBC News said at the time, everyone knew what she did and where she worked. Everyone, as Timothy Noah of Slate reported at the time.

But that was no fun, so the lefties decided to blame somebody in Vice President Dick Cheney’s office with outing her identity. Darth Cheney and White House evil genius Karl Rove would be “frog marched” to meet their legal fates! 

Cheney’s right hand man, Scooter Libby was found to have lied to federal investigators during the investigation somewhere along the line. Remember when you got in trouble for not telling Federal officials the truth?  Could somebody please “Google” Lois Lerner? 

Funnily enough, it wasn’t Libby who “outed” the already “outed” Plame. 


It was Clintonista State Department maven Richard Armitage.  He’d been held over by the Bush Administration. You know, the “Neo-Cons.”

Today on the Capitol Mall, a gathering of thousands will commemorate the 50th anniversary of the March on Washington and the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr’s I Have a Dream speech.

That event on August 28, 1963 ended with the famous speech by Dr. King who was poised in the shadow of the Lincoln Memorial.

I am happy to join with you today in what will go down in history as the greatest demonstration for freedom in the history of our nation.

Five score years ago, a great American, in whose symbolic shadow we stand today, signed the Emancipation Proclamation. This momentous decree came as a great beacon of hope to millions of slaves, who had been seared in the flames of withering injustice. It came as a joyous daybreak to end the long night of their captivity. But one hundred years later, the colored America is still not free. One hundred years later, the life of the colored American is still sadly crippled by the manacle of segregation and the chains of discrimination.

One hundred years later, the colored American lives on a lonely island of poverty in the midst of a vast ocean of material prosperity. One hundred years later, the colored American is still languishing in the corners of American society and finds himself an exile in his own land So we have come here today to dramatize a shameful condition.

In a sense we have come to our Nation’s Capital to cash a check. When the architects of our great republic wrote the magnificent words of the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence, they were signing a promissory note to which every American was to fall heir.

This note was a promise that all men, yes, black men as well as white men, would be guaranteed to the inalienable rights of life liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

It is obvious today that America has defaulted on this promissory note insofar as her citizens of color are concerned. Instead of honoring this sacred obligation, America has given its colored people a bad check, a check that has come back marked “insufficient funds.”

But we refuse to believe that the bank of justice is bankrupt. We refuse to believe that there are insufficient funds in the great vaults of opportunity of this nation. So we have come to cash this check, a check that will give us upon demand the riches of freedom and security of justice.

We have also come to his hallowed spot to remind America of the fierce urgency of Now. This is not time to engage in the luxury of cooling off or to take the tranquilizing drug of gradualism.

Now is the time to make real the promise of democracy.

Now it the time to rise from the dark and desolate valley of segregation to the sunlit path of racial justice.

Now it the time to lift our nation from the quicksands of racial injustice to the solid rock of brotherhood.

Now is the time to make justice a reality to all of God’s children.

It would be fatal for the nation to overlook the urgency of the moment and to underestimate the determination of its colored citizens. This sweltering summer of the colored people’s legitimate discontent will not pass until there is an invigorating autumn of freedom and equality. Nineteen sixty-three is not an end but a beginning. Those who hope that the colored Americans needed to blow off steam and will now be content will have a rude awakening if the nation returns to business as usual.

There will be neither rest nor tranquility in America until the colored citizen is granted his citizenship rights. The whirlwinds of revolt will continue to shake the foundations of our nation until the bright day of justice emerges.

We can never be satisfied as long as our bodies, heavy with the fatigue of travel, cannot gain lodging in the motels of the highways and the hotels of the cities.

We cannot be satisfied as long as the colored person’s basic mobility is from a smaller ghetto to a larger one.

We can never be satisfied as long as our children are stripped of their selfhood and robbed of their dignity by signs stating “for white only.”

We cannot be satisfied as long as a colored person in Mississippi cannot vote and a colored person in New York believes he has nothing for which to vote.

No, we are not satisfied and we will not be satisfied until justice rolls down like waters and righteousness like a mighty stream.

I am not unmindful that some of you have come here out of your trials and tribulations. Some of you have come from areas where your quest for freedom left you battered by storms of persecutions and staggered by the winds of police brutality.

You have been the veterans of creative suffering. Continue to work with the faith that unearned suffering is redemptive.

Go back to Mississippi, go back to Alabama, go back to South Carolina go back to Georgia, go back to Louisiana, go back to the slums and ghettos of our modern cities, knowing that somehow this situation can and will be changed.

Let us not wallow in the valley of despair. I say to you, my friends, we have the difficulties of today and tomorrow.

I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the American dream.

I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed. We hold these truths to be self-evident that all men are created equal.

I have a dream that one day out in the red hills of Georgia the sons of former slaves and the sons of former slaveowners will be able to sit down together at the table of brotherhood.

I have a dream that one day even the state of Mississippi, a state sweltering with the heat of oppression, will be transformed into an oasis of freedom and justice.

I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by their character.

I have a dream today.

I have a dream that one day down in Alabama, with its vicious racists, with its governor having his lips dripping with the words of interpostion and nullification; that one day right down in Alabama little black boys and black girls will be able to join hands with little white boys and white girls as sisters and brothers.

I have a dream today.

I have a dream that one day every valley shall be engulfed, every hill shall be exalted and every mountain shall be made low, the rough places will be made plains and the crooked places will be made straight and the glory of the Lord shall be revealed and all flesh shall see it together.

This is our hope. This is the faith that I will go back to the South with. With this faith we will be able to hew out of the mountain of despair a stone of hope.

With this faith we will be able to transform the jangling discords of our nation into a beautiful symphony of brotherhood.

With this faith we will be able to work together, to pray together, to struggle together, to go to jail together, to climb up for freedom together, knowing that we will be free one day.

This will be the day when all of God’s children will be able to sing with new meaning “My country ’tis of thee, sweet land of liberty, of thee I sing. Land where my father’s died, land of the Pilgrim’s pride, from every mountainside, let freedom ring!”

And if America is to be a great nation, this must become true. So let freedom ring from the hilltops of New Hampshire. Let freedom ring from the mighty mountains of New York.

Let freedom ring from the heightening Alleghenies of Pennsylvania.

Let freedom ring from the snow-capped Rockies of Colorado.

Let freedom ring from the curvaceous slopes of California.

But not only that, let freedom ring from Stone Mountain of Georgia.

Let freedom ring from every hill and molehill of Mississippi and every mountainside.

When we let freedom ring, when we let it ring from every tenement and every hamlet, from every state and every city, we will be able to speed up that day when all of God’s children, black men and white men, Jews and Gentiles, Protestants and Catholics, will be able to join hands and sing in the words of the old spiritual, “Free at last, free at last. Thank God Almighty, we are free at last.”

Oregon Terrorist Mohamed Mohamud Writes Apology Letter for Bomb Plot

Convicted Oregon terrorist Mohamed Mohamud has sent a letter of apology to a Federal judge in a bid for leniency before his scheduled sentencing next week. Mohamud faces life in prison for helping to plan a bombing on November 26, 2010 that would have vaporized thousands of Christmas revelers at Portland’s Pioneer Square at the tree lighting ceremony. The then 19 year old terrorist twice tried to dial the code that would have detonated the bomb. 

Instead, the FBI intercepted Mohamud as he reached out to terrorists, including notorious imam, Anwar al Awlaki (the imam to the Fort Hood Shooter and two 9/11 hijackers), and Samir Khan, the publisher of online terrorist magazines Jihad Recollections and Inspire, and members of Al Shabab, the Somali franchise of Al Qaeda. 

Although Mohamud was portrayed during his trial as an innocent college student who had been cajoled by the opportunistic FBI, his letter to Judge Garr King showed it to be a lie. As he said in his letter,

I have renounced and I again renounce my former beliefs.

Mohamud began his letter by claiming he was horror stricken by the person he saw on the (FBI surveillance) tapes.

I keep asking myself, ‘Is that really me on the tape?’ My heart is filled with remorse, shame, sorrow, misery every time I think of my actions that day.

He also tried to strike a chord with the countrymen who took him in as his own him, Somalia, was riven with war and jihad.

“I have hurt not only my family and my friends, who had thought so well of me, but also my fellow Americans who had trusted me as their fellow compatriot. I am sorry, and I hope they can forgive me.”



He also offered to “speak to young Muslims to help keep them away from the path of extremism.” If he can keep Muslims from extremist beliefs and terroristm in Federal prison, that would be quite a feat. The prison system is among the greatest recruitment areas for Muslim extremists.

ObamaCare hasn’t been fully implemented and some of its provisions delayed, but already its impacts are being deeply felt in the economy. 

ObamaCare incentivizes business owners to dump their full time employees onto the government health care system because the fines for not providing health insurance are cheaper than the insurance itself. And as a way to reduce their exposure to government diktat and penalties,  more businesses are opting for part-time workers. As you see in the Heritage Foundation infographic nearby, Forever 21 is just the latest company to go to a part-time work force. 

The outcome of this perverse incentive was foreseen by ObamaCare writers. Their hoped-for outcome was that eventually so many people would be dumped onto the government program that it would seem inevitable to go to a government run, single-payer system. That’s the plan of its backers. That’s the hoped for outcome. 

obamacare memeIn fact, I would go so far to say that the confusion caused by ObamaCare is exactly what its organizers have hoped to create. Confusion, concern, anger, hostility between the young on whose shoulders ObamaCare’s success is dependent, and the old are dependent on the system, are key constituencies that will be used against each other in future elections.

Eventually all will collapse into a heap. Voices from below the rubble will beg the government to take full control.

It is a real world example of Cloward Piven.

Rather than placating the poor with government hand-outs, wrote Cloward and Piven, activists should work to sabotage and destroy the welfare system; the collapse of the welfare state would ignite a political and financial crisis that would rock the nation; poor people would rise in revolt; only then would “the rest of society” accept their demands. 

It’s like a TV show with the idiot-plotline. You may not know every plot twist, but you know the ending.

Below is a list of businesses that have dumped jobs, changed hours or done whatever it takes to stay in business while fending off the corrosive regulation of ObamaCare. The list was compiled by Rusty Weiss for FreedomWorks. See his original post here. Below is an excerpt.



Lost Jobs

Welch Allyn, a company that manufactures medical diagnostic equipment in central New York, laid off 275 employees this year, and planned on dropping roughly 10% of their workforce over the next three years.

“Health care reform mandates” are to blame for up to 400 jobs being dropped at Orlando Health.

One of the biggest medical device manufacturers in the world, Stryker confirmed 1,000 jobs were lost due to Obamacare.

Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center cited “the challenges of health care reform” while announcing the elimination of 950 jobs.

The medical device tax also claimed positions at Boston Scientific.  The company first announced in 2011 that they would be cutting between 1,200 and 1,400 positions.  Then in January of this year, they announced further layoffs for up to 1,000 employees.

Smith & Nephew, a global medical technology firm, dropped 100 employees.

A Blue Cross/Blue Shield health insurance office was closed, resulting in another 100 or so employees hitting the unemployment lines.  The reason? Complexities in federal regulations and mandates implemented by Obamacare.

In March of 2010, medical device maker Medtronic warned that Obamacare taxes could result in a reduction of precisely 1,000 jobs.  That plan became reality when the company cut 500 positions, and scheduled another 500 by the end of the fourth quarter in 2013.

Reading Hospital announced layoffs for 210 workers, and the elimination of another 181 jobs through attrition, citing federal health care reform requirements.

Abbott Laboratories announced a series of layoffs that would result in approximately 1,900 people being out of work.  The company cited “U.S. health-care reform and the challenging regulatory environment” as a reason for the job cuts, then proceeded to donate money to politicians wanting to change Obamacare.

Lost Hours

Public employees in Virginia fell victim to Obamacare’s rules for part-time workers.  A minimum of 7,380 jobs were converted to less than 30 hours per week.

The nation’s largest movie theater chain, Regal Entertainment, reduced the workweek for thousands of their employees.

Kroger, a grocery store chain, reduced the hours of their staff.

Taco Bell slashed employee hours.

As did Wendy’s, and also Denny’s.

An executive from White Castle pondered only hiring part-time workers in the future.

Subway chains, and Carl’s Jr. stores reduced positions to part-time.

Clothing retail chain, Forever 21, conducted staffing audits which resulted in non-management positions being reduced to 29.5 hours weekly.  Forever 21 has over 27,000 employees.

400 employees at the Community College of Allegheny County saw their hours reduced.

The Wall Street Journal reported that numerous universities were scaling back the number of hours worked per week by their adjunct professors, in an attempt to avoid the new Obamacare requirements.

Hours for over 100 people in the Fort Wayne Community School District in Indiana have been reduced, including substitutes and support staff.

Phone operators in Affordable Care Act call centers noted the irony in “working for a call center and trying to help people get health care” but only at a part-time rate … in order to avoid having to provide health insurance.

Lost Coverage

Repeatedly blaming Obamacare in a staff memo, UPS announced that 15,000 employee spouses are being dropped from their health insurance coverage.

Erick Erikson reported via Twitter that he had obtained an internal memo from Delta Airlines.  The memo stated that the company would have to totally revamp their health care plans, and had toeliminate a plan developed specifically for pilots due to it violating the Cadillac tax.

The University of Virginia is dropping coverage for spouses due to federal health reform costs and penalties.

The owner of Professional Finance Company indicated that he may have to drop coverage for hisemployee’s families.  The company employs 170 people.

Health insurance coverage is being reduced for school districts in Pennsylvania.

The United Methodist Church recently announced that “clergy and lay employees” would be losing their coverage.

Wegman’s, who had previously provided coverage for employees that worked 20 or more hours, announced they were no longer offering health insurance to part-time workers thanks to ObamaCare.

The Death Toll

It should be noted that all of these reports involve companies that have been forced to make changes for hundreds or thousands of their employees.  There are numerous other instances in which companies had planned to layoff tens, possibly dozens of their staff – instances which pile up under the President’s health care reform law.

It is by no means meant to be an exhaustive list.  But it is meant to provide examples of real companies, real jobs, and real names, soon to be added to the growing list of employment casualties provided by the inevitable implementation of Obamacare.

The NRCC also has a site called “Living Under Obamacare” that provides personalized stories of the onerous effects of the President’s reform law.  It puts real faces to the numbers we see above.

Ready or not, the Obamacare train wreck is coming down the tracks.

AGW Alert: Lefty Media Matters for America Claims Al Jazeera is “Balanced” on Global Warming.

Media Matters for America, the Democrat run propaganda organ, claims that the Islamist inspired Al Jazeera America news channel (see my posts here and here) is more “balanced” on Man Made Global Warming than are the mainstreams.

“False balance”? False balance appears to be actual existence of balance. And this is what MMA says is ‘balance,’

The segment treated the science as a “given,” and host Libby Casey made a point of mentioning the fact that a significant majority of scientists agree about it, as is continually re-affirmed by high-level research.”

Actor John Cusack Descries Wiki Leaker’s 35 Year Sentence

Actor John Cusack is calling Pfc Bradley Manning a journalist and whistle blower, deserving of the Nobel Peace Prize instead of “decades in prison.”

The actor linked his tweet to an official statement which linked leaker Manning to starting the “Arab Spring” and the end of the Iraq War.

Journalistic organizations from the New York Time to NPR, from local blogs to regional newspapers, have benefited from Manning’s releases. These leaks have heralded a new era in investigative journalism, helped end America’s war in Iraq, fueled democratic revolutions during the Arab Spring and much more.

The “new era of investigative journalism” apparently includes putting America at risk and Bradley Manning in dragsettling a score over the military’s “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy. Manning is gay and is apparently a cross dresser (see his photo nearby).

The statement concluded,

Bradley Manning, who has been nominated three times for the Nobel Peace Prize, deserves our gratitude—not decades in prison. As defenders of press freedom, we know that today’s ruling could have dire consequences for future whistleblowers working with investigative journalists. We condemn today’s sentencing of Bradley Manning as an attack on freedom of the press.

Seattle’s Anti Gun Rights Zones: Legal Gun Owners Now Lumped In With Crooks

Seattle Mayor Mike Mc Ginn and Washington CeaseFire this week rolled out their Gun Free Zone plan, Gun Free Zone 2urging businesses to ban guns from their premises and put a sign in their window touting their gun free status (see nearby). See my post about it here. 

Washington CeaseFire admits, in fact, the effort is merely an attempt “change the discussion” (e.g. demonize guns) by ganging up on legal gun owners.

They seem resolute about not allowing “firearms of all types” including those carried by “concealed weapons” holders to come inside their businesses. But, considering the weapon is concealed, how would the business owner know?

The City has now irrationally put legal gun owners in the same category as pimps, prostitutes, gang bangers and drug dealers. And they appear to blame legal gun owners for gun violence. From their statement,

We recognize that gun violence is a significant public health issue and that the presence of a gun can quickly escalate an altercation into a lethal event. 

In their Frequently Asked Questions, Washington Ceasefire encourages business owners to call the police if a gun owner walks in,

What do I do if a civilian enters my property with a gun? 

If you feel comfortable, you can ask if they saw your sign, but use your better judgment.  In general, you should call the police. The property owner or a representative must be present to direct police to remove someone from the property.

Washington CeaseFire continues to misstate the number of gun deaths, as King 5 News pointed out

Washington CeaseFire says in King County alone, more people die every year from gun violence than from motor vehicle collisions, and between 2007 and 2011, the estimated annual cost of firearms deaths and hospitalizations in King County was $177 million.

However, a check of the most recent report from the King County Medical Examiner’s Office finds that there were actually more traffic-related deaths between 2002 and 2011. The combined number of gun-related homicides, suicides and accidental shootings was 1,455 as compared to 1,770 traffic-related deaths.

Is it legal for private businesses to prohibit guns on their property?

In general, yes, private property owners may establish reasonable rules and conditions for people who wish to enter or remain upon the property.  This may include a rule prohibiting civilians from carrying firearms on the premises. [emph added]

 “In general”? It shouldn’t take more than a few Second Amendment lawyers no time at all to figure out what that means. Good luck, Seattle. And good luck, legal gun owners, you’ve now been turned into a criminal in Seattle.  


Reporter Stuns Russian TV Host With Diatribe on Gay Laws

Gay reporter Russia TVReporter James Kirchick was supposed to come on a Russian news chat show and talk about Bradley Manning, the infamous leaker of American secrets to the website Wikileaks who had been sentenced to 35 years in prison. Instead, Kirchick upended the conversation and launched into a diatribe against Russia’s gay laws instead. Via the Washington Free Beacon,

“Being here on a Kremlin-funded propaganda network, I’m going to wear my gay pride suspenders and speak out against the horrific, anti-gay legislation that Vladimir Putin has signed into law,” Kirchick said.

Kirchick was speaking from Stockholm, Sweden when he did his entertaining rant so there was never fear of reprisal. One wonders if he would have done the same in Russia where his words were now outlawed. I also wonder this: when will the collective left begin to speak out forcefully against Islamist Sharia law which requires even worse things done against gays and other ‘infidels’?
