Obama Reelection: Will Media Cover for Him Again?

They likened him to a messiah and gushed like groupies meeting their boy band crushes backstage.  Chris Matthews declared that he ‘couldn’t stand up’ and had a tingle down his leg when he spoke.

Construction Trailer Gone at Hip Hop High

Saturday

The construction trailer is gone at what would have been the site of NW Portland’s Hip Hop High (REAL Prep Charter School). It would have been there if organizers hadn’t spent the nearly $500,000.00 on other stuff such as walking around money for people to talk up the school, paying the manager of De La Soul to write curriculum for the school (where is it?) and the like.

Last Week (Photo Credit Oregonian)

The school was designed supposed to teach kids educational basics while at the same time teaching them how to run a record company.

Last week in another one of its recent updates on the school, the Zero had noted that the construction company hadn’t been paid for its work.

REAL Prep is in financial shambles. A $50,000 planning grant and two $225,000 implementation grants — all from the federal government — have been spent, yet many employees and contractors haven’t been fully paid. The school also owes $200,000 for renovations to the building.

I visited the school last week and the construction trailer was there. When I went back over the weekend it was gone.

Not surprising. Everybody likes to get paid.
