Obama Solves Unemployment: Pay Everyone

(Repost for Victoria) We talked about this on Monday when the President made this incredible remark that if jobless benefits were extended it would result in ONE MILLION JOBS CREATED AND A HALF A PERCENT IN GROWTH to the economy.

In a Q & A with Presidential Spokesman, Jay Carney, he was asked about it:

So, we could get ourselves out of this recession/depression by paying EVERYONE not to work so we can CREATE MORE JOBS and ECONOMIC growth. See? Easy peezy.

Dagger in Heart of ObamaCare

If you can’t force Americans to buy your crappy medicaid for all aka ObamaCare, then you don’t have much of a program left. That is why the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals decision today is so important.

While we’re waiting to talk to David Rivkin on the program about what this decision means as it heads to the US Supreme Court, listen to him talk about his case before the CATO Institute recently:

Vancouver City Manager on "Rumors" of Light Rail Prep Work

Couv.com broke the story of Vancouver businessman, Tom McCloud, owner of PIP Printing on Main Street asking about roadwork in front of his business and being told by a worker they were “putting in a new man hole to support light rail.”

At the August 8 city council meeting, city manager Eric Holmes was asked to address the “rumors.”

Holmes said, “It appears, through (CenturyLink’s) own volition, they made a choice to make some upgrades in anticipation of potential CRC investments in downtown.”

So, we have Century Link (formerly Qwest) deciding on their own, with no prompting from city or county people, to prepare their lines just in case Light Rail comes, right?

Portland’s DAY OF RAGE September 17th. Will We be Ready to Fight Off the Thugs?

As discussed on the program yesterday, September 17th is some sort of National Day of Rage. This Day of Rage gets its name from the middle eastern protesters from the Arab Spring.
Considering the fact that we live in the freest country in the world, I’m not sure what these anarchists, socialists and communists are ‘raging’ against. Perhaps they’re upset that we’re not wallowing in the equal misery they would wish us to live in (come to think of it, by the time Obama is done with us we will be). Until then here are some questions to consider:
1. Will the police be ready for the notorious black bloc to make another appearance on the downtown Portland streets?

2. Will they be willing to arrest them?

3. Will Portland State University allow these vandals and haters to use their facilities to hatch their plans as the tax payer subsidized University did by allowing socialists and anarchists to hatch their anti Tea Party protest for April 15th?

Law abiding and tax paying Oregonians await official Portland’s answer.
Don’t hold your breath.
