Dems Push Through Financial Regulation Bill

Completely ignoring changes proposed by members of both parties, the Senate Finance Committee, obviously drunk with power over cramming their seizure of the healthcare system down our throats, passed a far-reaching legislation to overhaul the nation’s financial regulatory system along party lines out of committee.

Obama stongly supported the move.

Republicans hope to oppose the bill at the markup, hoping to get more of a middle of the road bill before it reaches the Senate Floor.

Democrat Christopher Dodd had planned to spend the week considering revisions.

Breakdown of Medicare Expenditures

Pelosi and Obama say this seizure of the healthcare system will reduce deficits?

Not according to Mercatus Center of George Mason University.

“This chart by Mercatus Center senior research fellow Veronique de Rugy uses data from the Social Security Administration to illustrate long-term projections of Medicare revenues from premiums and payroll taxes (blue) along with projected transfers into Medicare from the federal government (red) and the projected deficits in Medicare’s Hospital Insurance Fund (orange); when summed these components add up to total long-term Medicare expenditures.”

Healthcare, The Morning After Poll

While Democrats and others are ecstatic over the seizure of our healthcare system by socialists last evening, it appears the American people might be so pleased. From an MSNBC Poll;

If I recall history correctly, a couple hundred years ago, the British ignored the will of the American people too.

Of course, arms are not used now as they were then, but votes can be just as detrimental to a dictatorial political party.

Stupak Stripped Of Award

The Susan B. Anthony List had chosen Michigan’s Rep Bart Stupak to receive their “Defender of Life” award at the “Campaign for Life Gala” Wednesday in the Capital. Due to his support of Obamacare, they have withdrawn the award.

Marjorie Dannenfelser, president of the group said, “By accepting this deal from the most pro-abortion President in American history, Stupak has not only failed to stand strong for unborn children, but also for his constituents and pro-life voters across the country.”

Stupak later arrogantly said, “I didn’t seek the award I stood on my principle. I don’t need an award.”

This is but a minor ripple in the tsunami that’s building.

America’s New "Intolerable Acts." The Second Revolution Begins

Heritage:

My fellow citizens, the acts which we have just witnessed are today’s Intolerable Acts. What has happened in substance and in process must not stand. It violates our constitution, our first principles, our basic rights and the very rule of law. With you, the American people, we will see that this will not stand.
