Obama Licking Saudi Kings Boots?

In spite of a clear video showing a clear bow before Saudi Arabia’s King Abdullah, the Obama White House is now claiming he did no such thing. The Obama administration makes the claim, “It wasn’t a bow. He grasped his hand with two hands, and he’s taller than King Abdullah.”

Judge for yourself:

If that isn’t an obvious bow, was he instead trying to lick the Kings boots?

Don’t forget, Queen Elizabeth is much shorter that King Abdullah. The O did not bend over at all for her, just a nod of the head.

Move on dot Commies Call for More Government Take Over

For the record, the Move On dot commies haven’t yet called for the firings of anyone involved with Fannie and Freddie or ACORN for the subprime mortgage catastrophe. All those folks got was—more federal money. And as for the bonuses to Fannie and Freddie personnel for ‘retention’ and executives at $1 mil a pop? Or for giving back $$$ from millionaires Raines, Gorelick et al? Crickets.

Last week the Obama administration took tough, decisive action with the auto industry, forcing the resignation of the CEO of General Motors.

It’s time to do the same for the banks. And the best way to start is by firing Bank of America CEO Ken Lewis. He’s the worst of the worst.

Lewis’s poor management helped ruin his company and our economy. Shareholders are calling him “reckless” and citing “disastrous missteps.”1 Worse, Lewis accepted $45 billion in taxpayer bailout funds, but instead of using all the money to get the economy going again, he let $3.6 billion go to bonuses for top execs.2

Randy Leonard Ordered to Spend One Week on top of "Made in Oregon Sign" for Vapid Crusade

Ok, I’m kidding about him sitting up on the sign, but he should have to. Leonard once again huffed and puffed and attempted to bully the University of Oregon and Ramsay Sign Company into giving the city the sign. Randy said it was, “the” Portland icon and didn’t want it to fall into U of O’s evil hands where the university might actually Put. Its. Logo. On. It.
When the bullying didn’t work he threatened to use the city’s power of condemnation to take it.
Great work, Randy. It’s effective to send the message that if a piece of private property for whatever reason becomes an icon to you that you’ll threaten to steal it for the good of the ‘entire community.’ Brilliant.
What’s scarier is he had the votes to DO IT!
(Aren’t these the same people who want to tear down the Veteran’s Memorial Coliseum to build a AAA ball yard? So much for tradition.)
Once again the City Commissioner blamed everyone else’s ‘miscommunication’ for getting to the precipice of a court battle (which would cost millions)
and peeving the U of O which has grown its presence in P-town with a beachhead in Old Town.
One of the funnier, though unremarked upon dumb moves by Randy, was at last week’s meeting when he trotted out his photo shopped sign and left off the “Old Town” portion of the sign. That really cheesed the China town activists, one of whom testified, but whose heavily accented remark on that score wasn’t understood by the council members. Those of us sitting in the cheap seats ‘got it,’ though. The point was missed on Randy. Today’s unveiling of Sign 2.0 at council showed that the “Old Town” logo was restored.
Oh, Randy…

Vet Asks to Make Portland "Sanctuary City" for Disaffected Soldiers

I still don’t get this considering we have an all volunteer military; that is until Charlie Rangel’s fondest dream of returning to a draft comes true. But, this guy at council today was agitating for a Winter Soldier type meeting to air out whatever grievances disaffected soldiers may have. Of course, as we learned about Winter Soldier (John Kerry’s lying coming out party), most of the “soldiers” there hadn’t served. At all. They were fakes.
