So late Thursday night he emailed Gary Blackmer and proclaimed that a tax he had just voted for, “…may not be in the public’s best interest.” This, in order to stymie efforts to refer the tax to the ballot.
Once again, as we’ve seen in the Cesar Chavez/Interstate debacle, they bend or break their own rules to get the outcome they want. In this case, they want the Sam Tax passed.
