As discussed on the show (here )with the reporters on Wednesday...No WONDER Sam the Tram, Mayor Moonbeam and the Rainbow City Council say they can't afford to maintain roads and MUST INCREASE TAXES (here)! They're too busy stuffing lettuce into Homer's pockets,here. And paying off citizens to be the streetcar's best friends here. And giving away taxpayers' money to candidate law breakers here.
When this kind of thing happens in another city and we read about it in the newspapers we call it corruption. What do you call it when it happens right under your nose?

Well Klatu,
I like mass transit, and Portland has way better Mass Transit than we have here.
There are also more employers in the Portland area.
My employer is eliminating jobs in my field (at least in the US) at a scary rate.
As for subsidizing wealthy real estate developers, everyone in Portland should be angry.
I am wondering when the younger generation will get so angry over what corporate and individual greed is doing to the resources that they will revolt.
