Victoria, were you born yesterday or are you just trying to associate Harkin with Rush to be part of the crowd?
I would think this should clue you in that it's just as wrong and stupid to piss on someone because they didn't serve or claim their service was worthless, as it is to question someone's patriotism and support for the troops even if you disagree with this, or any other war.
Again, why the f**k is anytime being spent on this by our elected officials? Isn't there more important work to address than what some fat lump with a microphone says, or some stupid commercial an obviously left wing outlet makes?
You are definitely part of the problem Victoria, although I'm sure you will see it differently.
I would think the answer to why time is being spent on this by our elected officials should be asked of them.
There is a world of difference in a radio calling phony soldiers that didn't serve, but falsely claim not only war atrocities, embraced by the left, incidentally, and falsely drawing V.A. benefits that should be going an actual Veteran and a political action group branding an honorable Commanding General, who was unanimously selected, a traitor and a liar.
Note, after the Moveon.org slander of General Petraeus, Democrats lined up behind them, as instructed, apparently.
After Rush called MacBeth and other phonies phony, Republicans didn't line up behind him. Only recently have a few defended Rush against this uncalled for attack by elected Democrats in their effort to deny him first amendment rights.

No one said Rush can do no wrong, but that he didn't do as he is currently being wrongfully accused of doing.
Anybody who listens to Rush even for a small amount of time knows he didn't call anyone other than phonies, like MacBeth, phony.
This is all another manufactured smear to take the heat off the elft for their attacks against General Petraeus, that blew up in their faces.
If the left really cared about Soldiers and Veterans, they wouldn't be giving a pass to those that continue to accuse our Troops of murder, being nazi's, monsters and the like, as have Democrats Murtha, Kennedy, Durbin, Kerry and Reid.
They wouldn't stand for groups like Code Pink accusing recruiters of "preying on children."
They wouldn't be portraying out Troops and Veterans of being hapless victims, either and they too would demand that phonies like Macbeth be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
They wouldn't be calling for soft treatment of cowards like Ehren Watada, who abandoned the men under his leadership, either.
Like I said, ask the majority of those of us who have served or are serving and see who we really support.

Try stopping by the VA Hospital sometime. Ask around. You will find Veterans cover all aspects of Political thought, left and right. Ask as many as you can, just be honest.
Drop by an American Legion or Veterans of Foreign Wars Post and ask them.
Charlie Daniels did this in the 2004 campaign through emails and received a varied account of replies, but did receive the bulk in support of the War and opposed to Kerry.

Falsely drawing VA benefits is theft. I doubt that anyone thinks that is ok. It is not only wrong it is illegal.
