WEDNESDAY: GUTTING MEASURE 37

GUTTING MEASURE 37 TO TAKE PLACE WEDNESDAY. STOP THEM NOW!
61% OF VOTERS APPROVED MEASURE 37. A HANDFUL OF DEMOCRATS IN SALEM ARE TRYING TO SUBVERT THE WILL OF THE VOTERS AND THE PROMISE OF THE RULE OF LAW.
CALL THESE TWO LAWMAKERS FIRST AND THEN YOUR LOCAL STATE REP.
VICKI BERGER, R, SALEM 503 986 1420 AND BRIAN CLEM, D, SALEM, 503 986 1421
THE LEGISLATURE COULD PUT A MORATORIUM ON MEASURE 37 WEDNESDAY.
OREGONIANS IN ACTION GIVES US THE LOWDOWN:
MEASURE 37 CLAIMANTS ABOUT TO LOSE EVERYTHING!!!!

THE LEGISLATURE IS INTRODUCING A MEASURE 37 MORATORIUM ON WEDNESDAY, JUNE 20TH!!!!!!!
ALL MEASURE 37 CLAIMS WILL BE STOPPED IN THEIR TRACKS!!!!
We have just learned that State Representatives Vicki Berger (R-Salem) and Brian Clem (D-Salem) are introducing a bill tomorrow that will place an absolute moratorium on Measure 37 claims.

In other words, regardless of where you are in the process, Berger and Clem’s bill will stop EVERY MEASURE 37 CLAIM IN IT’S TRACKS!

If you have spent thousands and thousands of dollars on your Measure 37 claim, Berger and Clem’s bill will WIPE OUT everything!
We don’t have a bill number yet, so we don’t have all the details. The bill will be introduced tomorrow (Wednesday the 20th), and because these are the last days of the session, the bill will probably receive a public hearing tomorrow (Wednesday the 20th) although we do not know what time.
Remember, when the legislature tried to sell House Bill 3540 (the Measure 37 repeal) to the public, the Legislature claimed that Measure 37 claimants could take three “avenues” to develop their property: the express lane, the slow lane, and the vested rights lane.
Many people have spent thousands of dollars trying to vest their rights – BERGER AND CLEM’S BILL TAKES AWAY ONE OF YOUR OPTIONS UNDER THE LEGISLATURE’S REFERRAL!!!!!! YOU COULD LOSE EVERYTHING YOU HAVE SPENT TRYING TO VEST YOUR RIGHTS!!!!
Please call Representative Berger at (503) 986-1420 and Representative Clem at (503) 986-1421 and tell them their idea is irresponsible!
Then call as many legislators as possible and tell them NOT TO SUPPORT THE MORATORIUM!!!!!!!!

Ten reasons to NOT live in Oregon:
1. Teddy the K
2. Taliban Tommy Potter
3. Kate Brown
4. Peter Courtney
5. The Portland City Council
6. The Multnomah County Council
7. Ron Wyden
8. The entire Oregon legislature
9. The gutters of Measure 37
10. Billy Bradbury

There are many other reasons, but you all know who and what they are.

Kloin: Connect your post to measure 37.

Ps Kloin: I beleive Scottibill already lives outside the "Soviet" State of Oregon and especially the "Soviet" State of Multnomah.

I guess they don't know how to deal with owning their own land do they? Oregonians are just too stupid to decide the best use of their land.
They were brilliant of course when they elected these ...people...but their IQ points apparently went waaaaaay below MENSA level when they voted for Measure 37.
Gosh, isn't great to have people in office who know better than us?

From the begining I was skeptical about Oregons ability to manage the fallout from measure 37's passage. If they simply didnt make it retroactive it would be a solid manageable piece of legislation.

Victoria Taft said...

It's meaningless if it's not retroactive. I feel sorry for people who made a pact with the government back in the day and who screwed them over.

Klatu, You're right. I don't live in Oregon, but do live in the Washington State, SSR, where we have a faux governor who weaseled her way into office using the Boss Tweed method (keep counting the votes until you get the results you want) and who, along with her Democrat syncophants in the legislature, keep imposing taxes on the Citizens without allowing a public vote on those taxes. I have been giving a lot of thought to selling out and moving back to my hometown in northern Montana. But that idea is rapidly fading because Montana has a Democrat governor who seems to be using the Kulongoski/Gregoire method of "governing". And our hometown has a mayor who will not allow public input, especially from the owner/editor of the local newspaper, at the City Council meetings.
But at least the housing prices are a lot lower than they are here.

Another reason to not return to northern Montana -- it gets COLD back there during the winter. But they do have four separate seasons during the year Winter, Winter, Winter, and Road Construction.
