04/09/07 AFP: Iraqi Shiites burn US flags on regime fall anniversary
Hundreds of thousands of Shiites burned and trampled on US flags on Monday as they gathered in the Iraqi holy city of Najaf for an anti-American rally called by firebrand cleric Moqtada al-Sadr on the fourth anniversary of the fall of Saddam Hussein.

Burn US Flags? The US Got rid of Saddam and still they hate us? Why?

Why won't the Attorney General go after Pelosi for violations of the Logan Act? Probably for the same reason no one went after John Kerry for Logan Act violations when he went to France in 1972 or 1973 to meet with the leaders of North VietNam.

If this administration had any guts they would charge Pelosi accordingly and toss her sorry butt in the slammer.

The greatest unifying factor/incentive in Iraq today is the rejection of American occupation forces. Not only did the stupidities and arrogance of George W. Bush "provide" the circumstances and means for Iraq's destruction and destabilzation, our continued presence there has "provided" the circumstances and means that unifies free Iraqis and our enimies against us. George W. Bush is the worst of all worlds. Not only has he he foolishly provoked and empowered our enemies, he has "provided" them precisely what they need to defeat us!

Obviously the moral of this story is that George W Bush has as much love and respect in Iraq as he has in the United States as he has in the rest of the world.

That only a few tens of thousands of Iraqi citizens would protest the US occupying forces in Iraq is a great testament to the wide popularity of George W Bush. What about the millions of Iraqi citizens who did not protest? This means that not only do they love George W Bush without question, they are just as willing to die and sacrifice for his grand ideology of Freedom as are the millions of Patriots in the United States.

Anyone who is not protesting against George W Bush therefore must love him unconditionally.

Try reading 'Because They Hate'. We made a mistake in not dealing with Sadr back in 2003 so he keeps poping up to cause trouble and will continue to do so until the Iraqis have had enough of him.

Baghdad Security Plan Seeing Many Successes

By Melinda L. Larson
American Forces Press Service

WASHINGTON, April 8, 2007 – The success of combat outposts and joint security stations within the Baghdad area have been so successful that there is talk of increasing the number of combined Iraqi and coalition force stations, according to U.S. Army Maj. Gen. William Caldwell IV, Multinational Force Iraq spokesman.

Fifty-four of the 75 outposts and stations are operating in the capital, and the number could rise to 102, Caldwell said today during a combined press briefing in Baghdad with Iraqi Army Brig. Gen Qassim Atta, spokesman for the Baghdad Security Plan.

“Together we are making progress but it’s going to take time. I can see it and I can feel it on the streets,” Caldwell said.

No Such Thing As a ‘Perfect’ Temperature

By Richard S. Lindzen
Newsweek International
April 16, 2007 issue - Judging from the media in recent months, the debate over global warming is now over. There has been a net warming of the earth over the last century and a half, and our greenhouse gas emissions are contributing at some level. Both of these statements are almost certainly true. What of it? Recently many people have said that the earth is facing a crisis requiring urgent action. This statement has nothing to do with science. There is no compelling evidence that the warming trend we've seen will amount to anything close to catastrophe. What most commentators—and many scientists—seem to miss is that the only thing we can say with certainly about climate is that it changes. The earth is always warming or cooling by as much as a few tenths of a degree a year; periods of constant average temperatures are rare. Looking back on the earth's climate history, it's apparent that there's no such thing as an optimal temperature—a climate at which everything is just right. The current alarm rests on the false assumption not only that we live in a perfect world, temperaturewise, but also that our warming forecasts for the year 2040 are somehow more reliable than the weatherman's forecast for next week.

A warmer climate could prove to be more beneficial than the one we have now. Much of the alarm over climate change is based on ignorance of what is normal for weather and climate. There is no evidence, for instance, that extreme weather events are increasing in any systematic way, according to scientists at the U.S. National Hurricane Center, the World Meteorological Organization and the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (which released the second part of this year's report earlier this month). Indeed, meteorological theory holds that, outside the tropics, weather in a warming world should be less variable, which might be a good thing.

In many other respects, the ill effects of warming are overblown. Sea levels, for example, have been increasing since the end of the last ice age. When you look at recent centuries in perspective, ignoring short-term fluctuations, the rate of sea-level rise has been relatively uniform (less than a couple of millimeters a year). There's even some evidence that the rate was higher in the first half of the twentieth century than in the second half. Overall, the risk of sea-level rise from global warming is less at almost any given location than that from other causes, such as tectonic motions of the earth's surface.

Don't forget that top Democrats are refusing to take part in upcoming debates sponsored by Fox News. Seems the far left crowd of Moveon.org and DailyKOS, the George Soros crowd, don't like Fox News, so they have let HIllary, Edwards and Obama know they better not appear in the debates.

The claim is Fox News if "biased" but CNN, ABC, NBC, and CBS aren't?

So much for the crowd that cries how beneficial dissent is. Must only be good if you dissent from Republicans. No dissent allowed in the far left element of the new Democrat Socialist part.

Barber Shop Politics - Political Intelligence!

Q. What does it take to be a politician now days?
A. A big head of hair for the photo opportunities and the ability
to talk a stram of empty babble or nonsence.

Q. Why do politicians avoid going to barbers?
A. They are afraid of loosing some of their intelligence.

Q. Why do politicians think that military persons are stupid idiots?
A. They have no hair.

Q. Why is Don Imus so intelligent?
A. He has a big head of hair. Otherwise why would the politicians
flock to his talk shows.

Side Comment:

There is no science in Political Science -- Just the nonsence
of non-science.

More on Political Satire:
Q. What ever happened to statesmanship in politics?
A. That takes too much critical thinking.

Q. Why, when it comes to our elections, the choices are always
among the lesser of evils?
A. Because statesmen no longer want the job.

Q. What ever happened to the diplomats in the diplomatic corps?
A. They are all dead and retired, and no one is being trained to
take their place. Now that we need diplomats, no one is up
to the job or capable of the job.

Q. What is the definition of a diplomat?
A. Someone who can tell a person or country to go to hell in
such a manner that they are anxious to make the trip.
