Clip #1 speaks for itself. She should be ashamed of herself. I know she isn't, but she should be.
Clip #2 - hey, that's cool by me. It takes a jab, but it's not mean spirited, and the video itself ... well, it is what it is, isn't it? The guy's (really) trying to make himself look good there. I definitely see the humor.
Clip #3, though - that one seems to really celebrate what Coulter said and is a mean-spirited embrace of her message. I don't see the point in posting that one, unless it's to imply agreement with Coulter. Am I wrong?
Also, seeing the title of this thread sort of gives a little credence to the "Klatu is Victoria's alter ego" theory - note the use of an ellipsis and the elongated spelling of a word in the sentence. Hallmarks of the spaceman himself - or, perhaps, the spacewoman herself.
And of course, I'm sure the mad scramble to find a democrat using an offensive phrase is afoot, but whatever. It doesn't change what Coulter said.
I can't believe anyone takes her seriously anyway.

Aside of "no surprise;" who cares? Why is this woman propped up, regardless given the time of day? Is she really anyone's hero?
Wouldn't you know that all the liberals would come out from under their rocks to denounce Coulter on this? The First Amendment has no meaning to them unless it aids them specifically. After that, no one else can say anything that goes against their beliefs or opinions. Witness the crap spewed out by Iknow and r=bs. They can attack Coulter and anyone who has the same opinions but not the ability to put them out as only Coulter can. In other words, the First Amendment is only for them and not Coulter.
I'm not saying she can't say it (never have, never will), but if she does say it, she has to be prepared for the backlash.
It's her right to be a jerk. I don't care about that. But if she's a jerk, I also have the right to call her out on it. Right?

This was her semi-apology after the fact. What are your thoughts on her initial statement, one which Victoria herself said was a backhanded way of calling Edwards a faggot (if, indeed, the quote was not out of context)?
Was that statement acceptable to you, or not? Yes or no will suffice.
Iknow, I think the point is to defend the "right" to belittle, defame, disregard, and/or abuse anyone you see fit, using any number of word or words, without the threat of reaction or recourse. Let's try a different approach.

Bill Maher has spoken regarding Cheney, and he contends not only should liberals be allowed to wish Cheney was dead, but that Cheney should actually be dead for our own good.
Hypocrites. If the left allows Bill Maher to pass on this, then they should shut the hell up over Ann Coulter. I am sick of the double standard. I’m tired of the expectation that conservatives have to play nice. We know on which side most of the hate speech takes place. Loved the blog posts about Cheney being missed by the terrorists in Afghanistan. Didn't see anyone deriding the left for those (except the right).
On the question of why anyone listens to Coulter: she's one of the most outspoken, on point, hilarious, conservatives on the planet. Except of this one misstep--which was ridiculous--listen to the conservatives' reactions! I'm still a huge fan.

These were Maher's quotes, taken from a FOXNews.com article, so you guys will trust it, I'm sure.

Neither of those statements advocates Cheney's assassination.
That said, the second statement is inappropriate. I have no problem with the first one, though.
Now, here's the thing: Maher said these on his HBO show, which for lack of a better word is meant to be entertainment.
Coulter, on the other hand, made her comments at an event organized for Republicans / conservatives. This was not an entertainment program, it was a political rally.
Maybe you all don't see the difference, but there is one, no matter how subtle it may be to some.
Coulter wonders why she's not taken seriously sometimes - I would suggest it's because she's a joke. She's just not in on it.
