Shouldn't that sign read

THE AMERICAN LEFT IS NOT AT WAR
THE MARINE CORP IS AT WAR
THE AMERICAN LEFT IS IN FRONT OF
SCHUMACHER'SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

One more version:

America is at war.

The Bush administration has their heads up their _$^@_#@+es.

America wants their loved ones overseas to return safely.

This whole thing about opposition of this war "emboldening" the terrorists is nonsense, by the way.

If someone can prove me wrong (prove, as in to use proof, as in facts, not that nutcase Michelle Malkin or that warmongering jingoist Sean Hannity), so much the better - I'd love to see proof that my disagreeing with how this administration has handled itself is has caused any increase in terrorism.

This whole war on terror is now being lost because the Bush administration put a bunch of political donors over there in Iraq to pump money out of us. The war on terror is actually with us because a bunch of Bushes friends wanted money and power over the petroleum economy. Its all a scam, one huge con, and our troops are fighting a war in a country that did not invade us, separating bad people from even worse people while they get killed in the middle. And noone cares enough to bring them home? I do. Thats where my support is.

HempChopper: Reading your talking points exactly like the Democrats wrote them for you. Good Job!
You finally left the Libertarian Party, and returned to the Socialist AINO Party AAAAAAA?

Proof? How many times have members of the anti-war left made comments that have been echoed by terrorists or the leaders of nations that fund and support terrorist groups? What more proof could you possibly need?

iknowhowtospell said...

Exactly! How many times? That's what I'm asking!

Please show me how many times!

Please show me these statements from the left, and how they have been echoed by terrorists and terror-supporters.

And I beg of you, please don't give me the usual "you can look them up for yourself" line. It's the refuge of someone who has no factual base to stand upon.

I am a clean slate offering myself to your teachings. Impress me.

Treechopper may not be right about the war being about money, but he is right about conservatives attacking each other for no reason. I agree the posts that are aimed at him are rediculous and make conservatives look bad, learn from your mistakes here you losers.

I protest - at least read my comment again, there was no attack only a response to a request.

To you, iknowhowtospell, for starters read the speeches given by President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. I doubt you'll even find people on the left who disagree that Iran sponsors terrorist group(s).

http://www.president.ir/eng/ahmadinejad/cronicnews/1385/09/08/letter-e.htm

http://www.globalsecurity.org/wmd/library/news/iran/2005/iran-050918-irna02.htm

And, if you'd like, here is a link to statements released by Al-Qaeda - read the ninth statement, and think about the similarities between these disgusting remarks, and what the left says.

http://www.doublestandards.org/alqa.html

Any doubt left in your mind? Yes, do continue searching statements and speeches from known terrorist states or groups. It won't take too much time or effort to see what I'm getting at.

(and sorry about the "links", I'm open to learning how to make them active in a blog setting)

Looks like the links were cut off. Let me try again:

"... for starters read the speeches given by President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. I doubt you'll even find people on the left who disagree that Iran sponsors terrorist group(s)."

But how are terrorists "emboldened" by what Democrats say?

http://www.president.ir/eng/ahmadinejad/cronicnews/1385/09/08/letter-e.htm

http://www.globalsecurity.org/wmd/library/news/iran/2005/iran-050918-irna02.htm

Same question.

"And, if you'd like, here is a link to statements released by Al-Qaeda - read the ninth statement, and think about the similarities between these disgusting remarks, and what the left says."

But how are terrorists "emboldened" by what Democrats say?

Nowhere in this does it even remotely say something like, "You know, Harry Reid gave a speach yesterday, and based on what he said, we all got excited and doubled our efforts"?

Again, how are terrorists "emboldened" by what Democrats say?

http://www.doublestandards.org/alqa.html

Same thing. Lots of interesting info, but I don't find any link between, say, what Barack Obama says and what Al Qaeda has decided to do. Unless I missed it. Or, unless it doesn't exist.

"Any doubt left in your mind? "
Plenty for both of us, apparently.

"... It won't take too much time or effort to see what I'm getting at."

Getting at and proving are very different things. After the cluster*&___&#$&*-- this administration has created, I need proof. Taking people at their words has been a horrible idea for the last 5 years.

"(and sorry about the "links", I'm open to learning how to make them active in a blog setting)"

Believe it or not, I actually do appreciate the effort!

I must have misunderstood you, I thought you had an open mind - sounds like you've had your mind made up for quite some time. No reasoning with the unreasonable. (which is why diplomacy won't work with Iran... but that's another topic for another day)

When a coach tries to motivate his team, what does he do? Gives a moving speech. Does he cite where he picked up words or phrases?

Either way you look at the similarities between what those articles say and what we hear from the left it's frightening. Either Liberals are taking queues from them, or vice versa.

And you are absolutely right, we should take people at their actions, not their words. Me? I'll support our mission in Iraq and our Commander in Chief.

Or you're hearing things that aren't being said and believing things that aren't true.

Saying something repeatedly does not make it true. Such as when Dick Cheney said "We know where the weapons of mass destruction are." Such as "Mission Accomplished".

If it can be proven that terrorists take what the American left says and feel empowered by it, I'd love to check it out. Maybe I'd find a new perspective on this giant mess.

But until then, it's all propaganda and conjecture (I linked to the definition of conjecture for Klatu's sake) as far as I'm concerned.

Tree,
Why do you think we are loosing the war on Terror?
(Not to be confused with the war in Iraq, which while I believe is a subset of the war on Terror, I am not certain that is all it is, nor that it is as large a subset as some believe).

I think we are actually wining the war on terror.
Haven't multiple attacks been prevented? How many have succeeded since the major 911 attack?
