They're soon outta Portland. They're soon out of business.No commercial real estate developer wants them because of the protesters. The City of Portland won't help them because commissioners side with the protesters and so a legitimate, legal business that's been in the City of Portland is forced out.
Here's the cop charged with watching protesters for wrong doing. He's receiving a hug from one of the protesters.

I run a business that doesnt have a union, 36 employees, I buy and sell trees that are clear cut all over the place. I dont get any protesters Klatu. I am glad the fur guys are out of there, maybe a store will open that I can afford something in. I dont get it, what is it with people that claim to be conservatives and they just hate anyone that exhibits free speech or doesnt fall in line with the Bush rip off agenda. Conservatives are going to labeled as angry haters if people listen to you Klatu. My messsage to people is, conservatives love the world and want a better way for people, not from government giving it out, or laws that keep billionaires safe from losing a few million dollars on taxes either. Get with the winning program, we can all get along and bring people up to date with the REAL new conservative movement.

The desire to label anyone who disagrees with you as a terrorist, however, is short-sighted and horrific.
This apparently permanent closure of Schumacher's proves what I said a few weeks ago - that Tommy and The Toadies do not run the City of Portland, the anarchists do. And Tommy and the Toadies are fully in league with them and their actions, welcoming them with open arms and no attempt to stop them. Who is next for the anarchists to put out of business? The meat packers? The fishing industry? Tanneries? Only time will tell.
Maybe one day, this gang of Potter-sanctioned hoodlums will start their actions in the wrong town and will be run out of that town on a rail. This bunch is on a par with those Kansas-bases Baptist nuts who protest at military funerals, both groups are absolutely dispicable.

The post was not a discussion about Billionaire businessmen, that was a small and quite insignificant area of my entry. Its funny that gets pulled out of my statement, no other arguement for my entry. The statement that conservatives should not stand up for our government protecting Billionaires from paying a fair share or anything at all. My post is advice on the "attack" method of making liberals look bad. I will sit back and read the attacks on me as a liberal communist now, even though I have worked very hard to keep conservatives in public office.

I never went to the store or to the protest. But I know right from wrong. Bad business from Good Business ....and I know that there is the right to protest, which I support and teach my 14 year old son we have a right to do!

I've been following this story for some time. The most recent "Oregonian" article makes it look like Schumacher a few cards short of a full deck. He says (and I paraphrase), "Bridgeport doesn't want us because they've been threatened" then Bridgeport says, "No, we aren't responding to the few emails protesters have sent". I don't know who to believe.
City council has been a real disappointment. The Tram, Schumacher, etc...

Victoria, You brought up another excellent point. I am surprised that one of those nut-cases didn't toss a bomb through a window at Schumacher's to get his point across. Look its simple - people protested who didn't like what the fur industry is doing.
Schumacher's didn't like it so they are moving out.
Why all the befuddlement? It is simple. Don't over aggregate it to make a hypothetical problem bigger than it is.
