See that picture? That's from San Francisco.
Here's the link.
From a person on scene:
The recent fighting in and around Israel spilled over onto the streets of San Francisco on Thursday, July 13, when Palestinian and left-wing groups staged a protest in front of the Israeli Consulate in the city's Financial District. An equal number of pro-Israel counter-protesters showed up to make their voices heard as well, and from the start the two sides were battling it out with a war of words and symbols. The protest was organized by Al-Awda (a group devoted to dismantling Israel and replacing it with a Palestinian state), A.N.S.W.E.R. (a communist group) and a coalition of other Islamic and socialist organizations.

I don't know how influential this group is or will be since they appear to spend an inordinate amount of time printing t-shirts.
If they are active and are getting notice, they have the potential of growing.
Don't forget, the Nazi Party was only a couple of people meeting in a Haufbrau in Munich, at one time.
hey, fizzi, you and yours could gain mucho credibility if you ALL (including the ever silent imamidiots) could join the rest of AMERICA in condemning these "religion of peace" fanatics.....yeah, didn't think so.
I love that queer looks to comments on sictoria's blog as the complete representation of all (whoever all is) feelings about this...what a dork.
No Khaldun, we are only talking about you. However, it is none less that the nightly drive by leftstream media telling us daya fter day, night after night that the sky is falling and who can't wait to blab every accusation against the US to the world, while hiding or minimizing the actions of Hamas, Hezbollah, Al Qaeda or whoever the current nutcases are.
I guess the fact that I support Israel means nothing, as if you would care anyhow. That I'm sure still wouldn't be good enough for you.
Remember, even if you are wrong, you're always right...damn I just keep forgetting that. I'm a "lefty," thus always wrong. Thanks for reminding me slew and queer.
Okay, Khaldun, explain why it is okay for Israel to defend itself by pre-emptive strikes, but not the US.
If you are in support of Israel, I applaud you, but you sure have some funny ways of showing it.
BTW, the left may not always be wrong, but they sure aren't right. ;)
Incidentally, Khaldun. I have noticed you have begun referring to those who disagree with you as "queer." Most of us outgrew that sort of aspersion by the time we completed 7th grade.
Using that to make derogatory comments about others shows an incredible intolerance of the Gay Community.
I thought you lefty's were the tolerant ones?
Ah slew, oh righteous one. My name branding is a loyalist tactic I've adopted because you loyalists can't seem to handle your own tricks. Taliban Tommy, Kennedrunk, SKerry, and many more come to mind..kinda like how ad hominem for the loyalists around here is making a good argument, but for any opposing views it's a childish tactic and will cause one to have comments shut down...hmm..funny how that works eh?
Secondly, I only call bear "queer." And not because he disagrees with me, but because he is. That is in no way a slam to the gay community. Go look up the word queer and you'll understand the context in which I use it. Get over yourself man.
Lastly, how could I guess my support of Israel just wouldn't be enough for you? You want more skin..whatever.
tsk, tsk, tsk, Khaldun. Words have different meanings, but it's how people perceive them that gets you in trouble, not what you meant.
Oh wait, you're on the left, that's right. When someone of the left is caught in their own words, it's always "I'm misquoted," "taken out of context," or "misinterpreted."
"(slew) I have noticed you have begun referring to those who disagree with you as "queer."
"(slew) ..it's always "I'm misquoted," "taken out of context," or "misinterpreted."
So, whatever you say must be true then, just because I'm "on the left?" You didn't already misrepresent me, "noticing" that I refer to "anyone who disagrees with me" as queer? Since you don't read before you speak, I'll clue you in. In any comments, anywhere, you'll find I only refer to bear as queer.
Funny how you've found new things to attack me on since I support Israel. I knew my simple opinion that would align with yours would just drive you insane.
btw, Do you seriously consider Israel's response to aggression by Hezbollah a preemptive strike?
Spare me your neo-com rhetoric, Khaldun.
As for Israel, I'm 100% behind them and feel they are doing what they must. Call it what you will, groups like Hamas, Hezbollah, Al Qaeda and whatever other terrorist groups abound, need eleminated, not reasoned with.
Peacenik neo-coms fail to realize that those terrorists don't live by the same values and will agree to anything, to take the heat off, while they ponder the next attack.
But, I still wonder why you support Israel taking these measures to protect themselves, but oppose the steps taken by President Bush to protect Americans?
Hezbollah attacks Israel. Israel responds.
Al Qaeda attacks America. America responds.
Did I miss when Iraq attacked America? (Not could attack, or might attack, or imminent attack)
Hezbollah has attacked Americans time and time again, so why aren't we rooting them out and killing them? What gives?
You still just can't stand it that we share a view point..you're too funny slew. But hey, what do I know, I'm too busy calling everyone queer..
Just like a Libby, Khaldun.
How many Americans would need to die before we addressed an obvious threat?
Do you prefer waiting until they had WMDs and released some on our streets?
As for us agreeing in support for Israel, did you somehow miss where I said I applaud you for that? Selective comprehension, son?
