Since I'm a "lefty moron" (ha) I'll be the first one of us to post (before you can start using this in some way to yet again attack "liberals.") that these are some sick, deranged f**ks!
I believe in the freedom of speech, right to organize, etc - but not for these folks, sorry. What's the point in picketing a funeral but to cause anguish to an already grieving family? Lawsuit? Hate speech? Any possible legal action at all here?!
If this doesn't give you pause to incite violence against anyone of these hateful a**holes, it should.
Khaldun, in what may be utter amazement to you, I agree. These people are not following freedom of speech, they are invading on a very private moment and in my opinion, should be locked away.
How dare these people show up univited at anyone's funeral to protest anything. Neither the time nor the place.

Whther we agree or not, these fallen heroes have given the greatest gift they can for others, for the freedom of Iraqis and for our protection. By what right do they protest what God declares is the "greatest gift?"

I hope the Patriot Guards shows up as well. So far, they have been doing real good at blocking their nonsense.
In what I deem one of the biggest disappointments with Washington State Legislature, last year, they failed to vote on a law banning people like Phelp's crowd of idiots from showing up at funerals.
Contacting my State Senator, I was garunteed he will vote early in the next session to approve such a measure.

I am a veteran of almost eight years of service and I am a born again believer and I want to say that these folks are taking biblical features of scripture out of context for their own agenda Man's agenda not God's,...I pray for the troops and ashamedly not often enough ..
God doesn't glory in the death of our troops we are not a perfect nation and yes we need to get on our face before God to have him on our side with this, but God never glorys in this,...I listened with a sick stomach what this woman was saying and "how" she was saying it,..she was half correct on some things but applying it in a sick and hatefull way...she can not speak for God and say these or any of our men are not saved and born again this relationship is known to God

I agree with everyone else here. This gang of lowlife scumbags deserve nothing but complete and utter contempt from everyone. Maybe a large hole should be dug at the local landfill and these dirtbags be shoved in and covered up.
On second thought, that would just serve to contaminate the landfill.
