Great idea! Clog up traffic, wave Mexican flags and demand rights for criminals.

I encourage them!

What happened? Couldn't make it down to Salem to protest immigrants huh? I at least expected to see some picture taking by ex-con Daniel in a groucho marks mask, but I guess I was wrong. I didn't even see Tricky Hicky or Jim Dimwick, supposed leaders of OregonIR. No Ron Saxton, No AMES, not even a crusty old KSPAM Victoria Taft (You must have had a botox session) No, not much dedication from the Nativist crowd.

I guess all is silent on the Nativist front. I can see it all now...the beginning of the end for the whole Oregon anti-immigrant movement. Nice try though.

roger doger,
Sounds like you have too much time on your hands to be paying attention to what others are or are not doing. I would suggest getting a second, third or forth job to help fill in your schedule. Don't want to do that then I suggest you shut your pie hole.

Grey Hound Bus's, Shuttle Bus's,
heck even Amtrak, could make quite a bit escorting these 12 million illegals (ONE WAY) back to their native country.

Kodiak,

Sounds like you have too much time on your hands as you hang around like a fly on the wall on this blog. My job is to monitor you nativist cowards for your activity or more humorously, inactivity.

Hey, being your Victoria's little stooge, maybe you could tell me, was that botox treatment worth it for her. After seeing her at the Capitol, she sure looks like she needs something. Looking a little krusty.

roger,
You have a job, now who would be stupid enough to pay you to waste time trying to insult me or anyone else for that matter. What makes you think people are inactive. Not all actions require demonatrating in the street. These immigration protests are for the right to violate US laws.
The Lefty's like you protest tax breaks to the rich claiming that it is hurting the middle class but support the illegal immigrants is a joke. If anything is hurting the middle class is the fact they are being undercut by the illegals who are willing to accept lower pay for the same work.
Just recently Senator McCain R Az was booed by AFL-CIO.
Actually I am nobodies stooge. I just like to comment about jokers like you.

I regularly read your messages in particular because they are a good way to monitor one of the more angry commentators on this blog. I am sometimes unsure just what point you are making, other than to announce how very angry you are at whoever you are addressing. I'd like to interject a bit of thought into this ocmmnetary. In the United States, we have many times changed our laws. In the 1920s, we passed Prohibition, and suddenly the entire alcohol industry, which was very well developed in this country, became illegal. Some fifteen years later, we dropped prohibition, and that vast illegal industry became legal. About the same time, we criminalized marijuana. Since then, severeal states have adopted medical marijuana laws. NOw, I think there are two isues here: first, could the United States legalize the status of the many people who have come here illegally? I think the answer clearly is "yes." The second, more complicated question is should the United States legalize the status of those who have come here illegally? I think it is not a simple question. And one suggestion that I have seen bantered about in this column will not work. Merely making buses, trains, or other means of transportation available for the twleve million who are here illegally will probably not encourage more than a handful of them to take advantage of that offver. It will be a much more idsruptive process to remove them from this country. And therein lies the rub: are we ready to endure the disruption that removal will involve?

westsidedavid,
Actually if more productive commentary is interjected it would be appreciated. What gets under my skin is I believe that laws should be enforced and time after time I see laws being ignored and the ignoring is actively supported by various special interest groups. Then when someone stands up and says wait a minute what about enforcing the laws and someone else stands up and calls them racist. You identify 2 issues that I agree one is part of this current problem the other as stated is the first one just restated. The second issue is what to do about the border and current ongoing flow of illegals into the country. If you do nothing then we will always facing the first issue. Therefore, before any addressing of the first the second issue of securing the border needs addressing. Someone needs to put figuratively a finger in the dike to stop the flow first.
The statements concerning sending illegals already here back is a smoke screen for doing nothing. Oh there are too many of them there fore we can do nothing, bull.

Come down hard on the employers will fines etc the jobs will dry up and the illegals will go home on there own. But wait that takes enforcing the existing law that seems to be there only to pacify those who are upset about the issue of illegals in the first place. Before you say that would wreck the economy consider first the sever impact the illegals are having on the middle class and the construction trades.

I am not saying make them criminals just make it extremely difficult to earn money so they go home. After the border is under control and the reasonable program to deal with existing illegals that sets up a guest worker program that does not lead to citizenship is something I could support. If they wish to become citizens then they would have to get in line like everyone else.

Dear Roger,
Botox is great. You should try it.

Robert said...

Hey Victoria,

It may be great but it doesn't look like it is working for you. Maybe the face transplant would be a better choice.

Kodiak said...

Say robert didn't your grandmother teach you if ya can not say anything nice then shut your pie hole? Just wondering.

Robert said...

Hey Kodiak,

Did your dad ever teach you that you should mind your own business. Probably not, "little stooges" like you seem to always find some way to stick your head up someones butt. I suggest you shut your piehole.

So back to Victoria, is she actually as homely on camera as she is in person. Kodiak, be a good "little stooge" and let us know.

Kodiak said...

Takes one to know one so answer your own question

Khaldun said...

robert, you're not lending yourself any credibility...not sure if you are wanting to or just to get some frustration off your chest - but your personal attacks are just as irritating as any of the other "righties" on here that can't make an argument without personal attacks and name calling...

Kodiak said...

suomynona,
Interjection of sanity in this insane world. Good observation a lot of personal attacks by all concerned has been going on in several threads for some time.

Khaldun said...

..I wouldn't say "all" - if you can find one where I did (I don't remember ever) - please slap me..

BEAR said...

Consider yourself slapped!!!

Khaldun said...

bear, you don't get to slap, you are the poster child for ad hominem...

btw - before you slap, you gotta quote me.

The pro illegal aliens rallies did not convince me that rights should be given to illegal aliens. I hated that they sang “We Shall over Come.” To me, another special interest group trying to compare themselves to the Black struggles in America.

Kodiak said...

The comparison to civil rights is a smoke screen. Since when does illegal aliens have a civil right to sneak into this country and violate our laws.

Victoria Taft said...

For what reasons are the unionists and the we hate american involved in these protests?

Kodiak said...

The unionists are confused since they do not realize the threat to union jobs illegals represent. And the hate america crowd believe that their numbers increase if the stragicly place themselves into the picture.

Khaldun said...

"hate America crowd"

Lemmie guess, these would be comprised of anyone who doesn't agree with your viewpoints?

As for unionists involvement - could it be that a large portion of these protesters would include legal unionized immigrants?

Kodiak said...

suomynona,
No I would tend to interpert that as being hate kodiak crowd.

There is not enough space here to educate you on who will fall into the hate America crowd. Hint: what they say about America could be considered a clue.

Actually I have been reading that legal immigrants are not necessarily for legalizing the illegals.

As to those who took time off to protest I wonder how many have or are losing their jobs.

I was addressing Victoria on her question, but I like your answer. :) I understand your viewpoint here, but Victoria seems to have simple groups of people in her mind like - those who are against the war in Iraq hate the troops. I was just wondering in her mind who it was that "hates America."

Actually I have been reading that legal immigrants are not necessarily for legalizing the illegals.

True, some have voiced they do not.

Maybe birthright union workers who's parents are here illegally?
