Jessica's Law needs to get on the November ballot. Kate Brownand Peter Courtney blocked it form getting through the last legislature. That proves just one thing - Kate Brown and Peter Courtney, along with Teddy the K, do not care on damn about the safety of children. If they dis they would have seen to it that this law would have gotten through legislature and signed into law by Teddy the K. They did NOTHING!!!!
A few years ago, the state and county placed a "criminally insane" grouphome on my back fence, 400 feet from Marysville grade school in SE Portland.
These people have been judged guilty but insane of crimes such as murder ,arson and rape.
But unlike the sex offendors, there is NO NOTIFICATION of the placement unless a retiring Portland Cop who got wind of it tells you so.
They (the patients/clients/nut cases) are totally protected by federal law, and they cannot be moved as this would violate their civil rights.
The house is run like a state mental place that would be in Salem, but Pers costs overdid the budget and they get 5 people for about 25K a month instead of 100K per patient a yr. Good deal you say!

Continued: Kate Brown, an Peter did just exactally the same action and blocked a bill that would have allowed them to be there, but restricted their placement away from a school yard.
They DID NOT HAVE THE GUTS ,to challenge LAWS that are OK, but need amending.
My point......SIMPLY THIS, there WILL BE ANOTHER NAMED AFTER A VICTIM LIKE JESSICA.
